Textual Analysis

For this analysis I will be analyzing The National Student magazine 

On the cover of this magazine the Masthead is a strong blue and orange as these colours stand out on the grey sky quite well. Also the main cover line is in orange and its model credit are in the same blue and orange to keep the magazine from being overloaded with lots of different colours. I also looked at other issues of this magazine and the text on the front cover had a different colour scheme so it would seem the editors of this magazine change the colours depending on the colours in the photograph. The people on the front cover are the band The Kooks and the bands name is the largest text on the page which denotes that they are the main article of this issue. As this is the case I think that the main theme of this issue maybe music. They are dressed casual as this is how they dress normally but this also connects with a younger audience. This cover has a medium long shot.
